Acker enlisted from this city at the time of the war twelve years ago and was sent to the Philippines. Since that time he has been on the island and has remained in the Army. He was 35 years old, unmarried ad had but one sister of his family living, Mrs. J.C. Robinson of Atlanta, Illinois. His death was caused by heart trouble and it is presumed his death was sudden.
The body has been sent to this county and will be buried in this city. His parents lived on South Webster street prior to their death about five years ago.
Harry had lived in this city all his life before enlisting.
