The body will remain at Brown's Funeral Company until Friday at 11:45 a.m. when the funeral cortege will leave for the church.
Mrs. Burks died Wednesday at 10:20 p.m. at her residence, Moulton 2; She was a lifelong resident of Lawrence County.
Surviving are two daughters, Mattie B. Burks, Peoria, Ill, and Mrs. S.M. Black, Birmingham; three sons, Roy Burks, Decatur 2; Prince Burks, Danville 2 and Pruett Burks, Moulton 2; one brother, E.M. Moody; nine grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Everett Powell, Ward C. Pruett, Richard T. Black, Roy M. Black, Hollis Coffee and Marshall Moody.
