DEATH OF AN ESTIMABLE LADY
Mrs. Adelai Mitchell Wells died at her residence on Myrick street, Christmas morning after an illness of several months following an operation for appendicitis. Although not entirely unexpected her death was quite a shock to her many friends throughout the community coming as it did on Christmas day when everybody was heartfree and happy made it doubly sad. Mrs. Wells was about 55 years of age, and had lived her entire life in this county, where she numbered her friends by her acquaintances. She was a consistent member of the Methodist church and did much charitable work in a quiet unobtrusive way. She leaves only one daughter, Mrs. B. H. Jones, to mourn her death, and the sympathy of the entire community is extended to her in the loss of her mother. She was buried in the old cemetery Tuesday morning, Rev. J. A. Harmon officiating
