Howard Thomas Morris, age 91, formerly of Shenandoah, died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2006 at the Elkton Manor Nursing Home.
Mr. Morris was born September 11, 1915 in Weyers Cave, Virginia and was the son of the late Mathias and Effie (Huffman) Morris. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Lucy Mae (Crawford) Morris; a son, Eddie Morris and a daughter, Shelby Morris.
Howard was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army. He worked in construction as a carpenter.
Survivors include one son, Jimmy Morris of Punta Gorda, Florida; one daughter, Mildred "Millie" Hiner of Waynesboro, Virginia; two stepsons, Amos "Richard" Dean of Bel Aire, Maryland and Manfred "Pete" Dean of Elkton; one stepdaughter, Delois Shifflett of Elkton and thirty-two grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Johnny Hensley will conduct funeral services at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 30, 2006 at the Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton. The burial will follow at the Elk Run Cemetery in Elkton.
