BENTON, Ky. — Don Denfip, 75, of Benton died at 6:07 a.m. Thursday at Marshall County Hospital.

Mr. Denfip was a retired lineman for Benton Electric System, a member of Walnut Grove Church of Christ and a U.S. Marine Corps Korean War veteran.

Survivors include two sons, Eddie Denfip of Modesto, Calif., and Levi Denfip of Benton; one daughter, Pam Salyers of Symsonia; one stepson, Mitch Green of Benton; one stepdaughter, Kim Smith of Murray; five brothers, Bert Denfip of Cunningham, Kenny Ray Denfip and Terry Denfip, both of Aurora, Jackie Denfip of Benton, and Walter "Skeeter" Denfip of Mayfield; and 11 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Harmon Denfip; one brother; and one sister. His parents were Marion Franklin Denfip and Grace Speer Denfip.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home with Kevin Williams and Murray Riley officiating. Burial with military rites will be at Hamlet Cemetery.
