Elwood B. Hendershot, a former resident of Washington, died shortly before three o'clock last Thursday morning at the Clifton House, in Easton, where he had been employed for the last year and a half. Although in poor health for some time, he had been seriously ill only since the preceding Sunday. Death was due to heart failure.
He was the son of Oscar Hendershot, of Washington, and was 32 years old. He is survived by a wife and child and leaves the following brothers and sisters; Lyman, of Philadelphia, Wade of San Francisco, Mrs. Harry Apgar and Violette, of Phillipsburg.
The funeral services were held at the home of his father on Broad Street, Washington, at 2:30 o'clock Saturday , Rev. F.G. Eland officiating. Internment was in the Washington Cemetery.
