Funeral services for Mrs. Theodore Boockmeier, 70, of 2923 Washington St., New Holstein, who died Monday, will be held Thursday at St. John United Church of Christ, New Holstein. The Rev. Albert K. Borns, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the New Holstein Cemetery.

The former Lillie Becher was born July 21, 1908 in Plymouth, a daughter of Louis and Augusta Dassow Becher. She attended grade schools in Plymouth and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1925. She married Theodore Boockmeier on June 24, 1933 in Waukegan, Ill.

Mrs. Boockmeier was secretary for the Arps Corp. in New Holstein from 1926 to 1939. She then assisted her husband in operating the Standard Oil business in New Holstein, retiring in 1960.

She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ and its women’s fellowship, and was a member and past worthy matron of Chapter 262 Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors are her husband; four sons, John of Holland, Mich., Richard of Portage, Gary of Chicago, and Thomas of Oak Park, Ill.; three grandchildren; three brothers, Jack, Elroy and Lewis, all of Plymouth, and three sisters, Mrs. John Gunderson of Freeport, Ill., Miss Myra Becher of Milwaukee and Mrs. Sally Aggen of New Holstein. She was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
