Allentown Morning Call - 7 June 1937
---------------------------------------------------
A fall she suffered about two weeks ago, when she fractured her left leg, is believed to have been responsible in a large measure for the death of Mrs. Sarah J. Moll, Fogelsville, who passed away at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Sacred Heart hospital. Death, however, was ascribed to acute heart failure. Mrs. Moll, who was aged 81 years, 1 month and 25 days, was in remarkably good health for her years until she suffered the accident. She was confined to bed at her home for a time and last Thursday was taken to the hospital upon the advice of her physician. Born in Berks county, Mrs. Moll was a daughter of Abraham and Lucinda (Rohrbach) Benfield. She was a member of the Reformed wing of Huffs church. Because of her genial disposition, she had a great many friends. Mrs. Moll was married twice. Her first husband, Augustus Beitler, died about 52 years ago, and her second husband, Reuben A. Moll, 22 years ago. Surviving are four sons: James Beitler, Fogelsville; Calvin Beitler, Fort Jay, N.Y.; August Beitler, Fogelsville; and Lloyd Moll, Mertztown; two stepsons, Harry Moll, East Greenville, and Valentine Moll, Allentown; a step-daughter, Mrs. John Sheirer, Fullerton; 38 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, a brother, Frank Benfield, near Huffs church, Alburtis R. 1; and three sisters, Mrs. Ida Gerhard, Boyertown; Mrs. John Reifsnyder, Boyertown; and Mrs. Andora Fisher, Shillington. The funeral will be held Thursday at 1.30 p.m. D.S.T. from her late home, the residence of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. James Beitler, Fogelsville. Continued services in Huffs church and burial in Huffs Union cemetery. Rev. J. N. Blatt will officiate. Viewing Wednesday from 7 to 9.
