MARTIN, Alvin S. - On Saturday, June 20, 2009 at his home, Alvin S. Martin age 77 years of RR 2, Wallenstein. Beloved husband of Wilma (Wideman) Martin. Dear father of Clifford and Lillian Martin of Waterloo, Dianne and Willard Brubacher of RR 3, Moorefield, Laura Martin of RR 2, Wallenstein, James Martin, Leroy and Alice Martin, Lester Martin, all of Elmira, Noreen and Keith Martin of RR 4, Elmira, Ruth Martin, Daryl and Darlene Martin, all of RR 2, Wallenstein. Lovingly remembered by his 19 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Brother of Elmer, Edgar and Rebecca Martin, Ella Shantz, Eldon and Beatrice Martin, Leonard and Eileen Martin, Verna and Rufus Gingrich, Elsie and Laverne Weber. Predeceased by his parents, Alvin and Elizabeth (Steckle) Martin; two sisters, Alice and Irene; three brothers-in-law, Aden W. Martin, Sidney Martin and Abner Shantz and one sister-in-law, Almeda Martin. The family will receive their friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira, today (Monday) from 1 - 4 p.m. and 6:30 - 9 p.m. where a family service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at 1 p.m. then to North Woolwich Mennonite Meeting House for further public service and burial in the adjoining cemetery.
