Bernard Byers

LEWISTON, Idaho, Feb. 22 - Bernard F. Byers, 46 former resident of this area, died at Portland Sunday, according to word received here.

Mr. Byers was born near Moscow April 27, 1904. He lived there and at Elk River until 1939 when he came to Lewiston to work in the transportation department of the Potlatch Forests, Inc., sawmill. He left here in 1946 to operate a service station at Dodge, Wash., and moved to Portland in 1950.

He married Mable Swenson at Elk River in 1925, and she died in 1937. He married Madeline DePeel in Lewiston in 1939, and she survives at Portland.

Funeral services and burial were in Portland.
