Born on August 10, 1841, according to her passport, Louise French went on to marry Lee Richardson in Hinds county on March 10, 1859. Her husband owned Richardson Hardware in Vicksburg, MS. They had four children: Lee Jr, Hugh, Louie, and Norval. Louie died in infancy. Lee Jr took over Richardson Hardware. Hugh moved to Atlanta, GA and was successful business man and his home was considered in his time the most beautiful home in Atlanta. Norval was a Diplomat having served as Secretary for several Ambassadors. He was also an author and like his family he was very well traveled. In 1879 the Daily Commercial of Vicksburg published: Mr Lee Richardson presented the residence on Cherry Street, formerly owned by Maj Randall Higgins , as a Christmas present to his wife.
In death she is surrounded by loved ones in a family lot with a beautiful monument in the center.
