MRS. LLOYD WERTZ
Mrs. Lloyd (Rhoma Bittner) Wertz, 71, of 345 South Grandview Ave., died at 6:15 a.m. Tuesday at Mercy Medical Center.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Columbkille's Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Rt. Rev. Msgr. J. E. Dunn, pastor, will officiate.
Friends may call at the Hoffmann Mortuary, where the Rosary will be said at 8:15 p.m. Wednesday.
Mrs. Wertz was born in Bellevue, Ia. She was associated with the Wertz Market. She was a member of St. Columbille's Rosary Society.
Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. John J. (Rosemary) Gantz; and a son, Donald, both of Dubuque; and 15 grandchildren.

Mrs. Wertz Dies March 4
Mrs. Lloyd (Rhoma) Wertz, 71, of Dubuque, died at 6:15 a.m. Tuesday, March 4, at Mercy Medical Center, Dubuque.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Columbkille's Catholic church, Dubuque, with burial in Mount Calvary cemetery. Rt. Rev. Msgr. J. E. Dunn, pastor, officiated.
Born at Bellevue, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Mary Niemeyer Bittner. She married Lloyd Wertz and they resided in Dubuque where she was associated with Wertz Market.
Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. John J. (Rosemary) Gantz; and a son, Donald Wertz, both of Dubuque; and 15 grand-children.
The last member of the Louis Bittner family, she was preceded by four brothers and two sisters.
