After retiring, she and Emile served two missions to Rarotonga and two to England for a total of seven years. She spent a total of 20 years in missionary service as well as 11 years as an ordinance worker in the Logan Temple.

After the death of Emile in 1989, she lived with her daughter Karen in Ankara, Turkey. Since then she has lived with her children in Brigham City and Farmington, Utah, Oakland and Downey, Calif., Cumming, Ga., and Sierra Vista, Ariz.
