A Sugar Grove native, she was born July 7, 1908, the daughter of Frank and Mary Loomis Dalrymple. She had been employed by the Sugar Grove Post Office for many years. She was a member of the Sugar Grove United Methodist Church, the Sugar Grove Reading Club, a former member of the Rebecca's in Sugar Grove. She was a talented seamstress. She is survived by her husband, Warren Abbott; a daughter, Barbara Stoddard of Sugar Grove; a son, Ronald Sherrard of Warren; 13 grandchildren: Roger and Randy Perkins, Jody Cusimano, Lisa Smith, Gary and Steven Stoddard, Lora Pitcairn, Sheri Kowalski, Dawn Cataldo, and James, John, Michael and Robert Sherrard; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clarence Sherrard; a daughter, Shirley Perkins; a son, Donald Sherrard; and two brothers: Lawrence and William Dalrymple.
