Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Nuthman officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Vega by Boxwell Brothers at Vega.
Mrs. Finley was born Jan. 13, 1927, in Olustee, Okla., to Carl and Essie Willeford. She married Harold Wheeler on April 10, 1948, in Olustee. He preceded her in death in March 2000. She married Woodroe Finley on July 27, 2003. He also preceded her in death in April 2009.
She lived most of her life in Vega, working for Southwest Bell Telephone Co. in Vega and also for Hereford Independent School District. She was past Worthy Matron and a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was Mother Advisor for the Rainbow Girls, and she was a Baptist.
Survivors include a son, David Wheeler and wife Linda of Vega; four daughters, Barbara Wheeler of LaPorte, Ind., Kathy Waldrip and husband Roger of Vega and Shirley Greenfield and Pat Shaw, both of Amarillo; two brothers, Carl Willeford of Amarillo and Bud Barton of Cheney, Wash.; a sister, Adelia Hughes of Olustee; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Cal Farley's Boys Ranch, P.O. Box 1890, Amarillo, TX 79174-0001; Hospice Care of the Southwest, 1301 S. Coulter St., Suite 404, Amarillo, TX 79106; or BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79105.
Viewing will be from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home in Vega.
