Lena Eicher was born to Abraham and Helena (Wedel) Johnson at Lehigh, Kansas. She grew up near Bessie, Oklahoma. When she was about 19 years old, she moved with her parents to Ithaca, Michigan. On March 30, 1913 Lena married Daniel L. Eicher. They had 10 children. The first years of married life were spent near Ithaca; then in November of 1934 they moved to Foley, Alabama and lived there for 15 years. After that they moved to Walnut Hill, Florida where her husband Daniel Eicher died on January 7, 1957. They were married for 43 years.
Lena lived with her children until 1963 and due to failing health, lived the rest of her life in a nursing home in Foley, Alabama. Died at age 88.
