My Grandfather Walter Paul Rabner was born in Kenny, Texas he is the second child of six childern. His parents were Otto Fritz Rabner and Matilda Woehst. My grandfather was drafted on September 19th 1917 at the age of 27 served in the U.S. Army. He was assigned to the 91st Division, Company "C" 364th Inf. Regiment, Camp Lewis (Fort Lewis, Washington) during the First World War he was promoted to Corporal, then Sgt. and then Bn.SgtMaj. When the war ended he was assigned to Fort levenworth, Kansas Division Schools where we became a Army Field Clerk (Present Day Warrant Officer). He was dischardge from the U.S. Army on March 17th 1920. He was awarded the World War One Victory Medal with 5 clasps for (St. Mihiel Offensive, Meuse-Argonne Offensive, Ypres-Lys Offensive, Lorraine, and Defensive Sector). World War One Army of Occupation Medal (Germany). War service Chevrons 2 Gold, 2 Silver. My grandfather was very active in the american legion.
