Gustave was the second of six children born to Emilie Auguste (Schultz) and Herman Friedrich Gustave Belling. On September 17, 1910, he married his wife Elsie Hattie Kamke and together they had three children: Norman Edward, Ruth L. and Roland E.


SERVICES WILL BE HELD SATURDAY FOR GUSTAVE BELLING, 65
Gustave Belling, 401 Wisconsin street, passed away early this morning in Oshkosh. He had been in ill health the past year and seriously ill the past two weeks.
The deceased, who was 65 years of age, was born September 10, 1889 in Merrill to Herman and Augusta Belling. A printer, Mr. Belling lived in Merrill most of his life and formerly operated his own print shop.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Schram Funeral Home. Burial will be in Merrill Memorial Park. Mr. Belling will lie in state at the funeral home from 1 p.m. Friday until the hour of services at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
A daughter, Mrs. Harold (Ruth) Jester, Wausau; two sons, Norman, Merrill and Roland, Woodruff; three sisters, Mrs. John Topel and Miss Elsie Belling, both of Merrill and Mrs. Joseph Casanova, Stevens Point and three grandchildren survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Herbert and Erwin.
