Bertha Greve --- Calumet County Reporter --- July 10, 1912

The community was shocked to hear of the death of Mrs. Andrew Greve on Monday at 1:15 p.m. She had been ill for the past eight weeks and had suffered considerable during the last day of her illness.
Bertha Bormann was born in the town of Eaton on July 27, 1867 and was united in marriage to Andrew Greve in this village in 1897. They have always lived in this vicinity and are well known to the people.
Two sons were born to them, Bernard who is a mechanic in the navy and obtained a leave of absence of twenty-six days while stationed at Key West, to be with his mother during her illness, and Hugo, who made his home with his parents. The deceased was a woman of high ideals who delighted in her home and its surroundings. She was a good mother to her children and was an ever helpful and faithful wife.
She leaves to mourn her loss besides the husband and sons, two sisters: Mrs. John and Fred Awe of Longwood, Clark County and Fred Bormann of this village.
The funeral will take place from the home at 3:00 o'clock Thursday afternoon and the remains placed in the New Holstein cemetery. Mr. Wm. Broeckert of Kiel officiating.
