KINGSTON — Evelyn Mae Smith, 86, of Kingston died June 13, 2009, at St. John's Regional Health Center in Springfield, Mo. She was born Nov. 19, 1922, in Kingston to Marion Francis and Ota Newberry Barker.
She was a homemaker, a Baptist and a longtime member of Loyalty Rebekah Lodge 80 in Kingston.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmo Thomas Smith, who died in 1984; three grandsons.
Survivors include five sons, Bill Smith of Alabam, Johnny "Pete" Smith of Grove, Okla., Sam Smith, Jerry Smith and David Smith, all of Kingston; a daughter, Bonnie Ozell Martin of Kingston; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Brashears Funeral Home in Huntsville, online at brashearsfuneralhome.net.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Eldon Bagwell officiating.
Burial will be in Kingston Cemetery with graveside rites by Loyalty Rebekah Lodge 80.
