Julian Thornock, 87, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2000 of natural causes at his home in Bloomington, Idaho.He was born June 21, 1912 in Bloomington, Idaho to William Ward and Grace Eleanor Wilks Thornock.


He married Agnes "LaPriel" Brewer on June 29, 1932 in the Logan LDS temple in Logan, Utah.


He worked for the WPA Forest Service, helping with the excavating of Minnetonka Cave, for Hansen Lumber and for the Idaho State parks, where he retired in 1977, as a park ranger. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and being with his family.


Surviving is one son Jay R (Marge) Thornock of Bloomington; one son-in-law, Billy G Smith of Bloomington; two brothers, Neville (Nora) Thornock of Boise, Bruce (Florence) Thornock of Bloomington; seven grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.


He was preceded in death by his wife, LaPriel, two daughters, Donna Loye and Alice "Janice", two granddaughters and seven brothers.


Funeral services will be held Monday, April 17 at noon in the Paris Stake Center in Paris, Idaho, where friends may call that morning from 10 a.m. until 11:45 a.m., and burial will be in the Bloomington Cemetery with services under the direction of Matthews Mortuary of Montpelier.
