Hugh Cullen Ballard, 70, of Austin, TX, formerly of Memphis, retired from ROMCO Equipment Co. after 30 years, died Saturday. Burial in Austin Memorial Park. He was a graduate of Memphis Tech High School and the University of Oklahoma. Mr. Ballard, the husband of Dorothy Byron Ballard of Oklahoma City, Brett Ballard of Georgetown, TX and Bart Ballard of Horeshoe Bay, TX; four sisters, Dorothy Beard of Tyler, TX, Jean Keenum of Longwood, FL, June Weaks of Horeshoe Bay and Carolyn Bell of New Shyma Beach, FL; a brother, John Ballard of Fort Lauderdale, and two grandchildren.
