Joseph Wilhelm died at 3:30 Friday afternoon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Henry Peiffer, after less than a day's illness, aged about 78 years. Deceased had been enjoying fairly good health until Thursday evening, when he was stricken with paralysis. Mr. Wilhelm resided at Host for many years, but since the death of his wife, several months ago, he made his home with his daughter at this place. He is survived by two children, Mrs. Adam Bahney and Mrs. Henry Peiffer, both of this place. [Reading Eagle, January 25, 1902, Page 5]
