Mary E. Ervin, 67, of 600 Douglas, died Monday evening at her home following a brief illness.
She was born in Spokane on July 13, 1907, and came to the Wenatchee area as a child with her parents. She completed her education in Wenatchee and on Nov. 2, 1931, was married to Earl Ervin in Portland, Ore. They lived in Snohomish where they owned and operated a garbage pick-up company until 1937. They then moved to Omak where they owned and operated an orchard. In 1946 they came to
Wenatchee.
Mrs. Ervin worked for many years as a packer for several companies in the Wenatchee and Monitor areas. She retired three years ago.
She attended the Wenatchee Brethren Baptist Church.
Surviving are three sons, Bob Ervin, Prineville, Ore., John Ervin, Aurora, Colo., and Ted Hansen, Clearwater, Fla.;two daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Betty) Cox, Torrance, Calif., and Mrs. Patricia Conn, Wenatchee; three brothers, Clive Brunton, East Wenatchee, Jim Brunton, Nevada. and Frank
Brunton. Wenatchee, two sisters, Mrs. Harry (Jennie) Smith and Mrs. Clara Baylee, both of Cashmere; and 11 grandchildren. Mrs. Ervin was preceded in death by her husband in 1973, by one brother and by a sister.
