Diana Eastes was the daughter of Obadiah Eastes and Frances Harvey Eastes. She married George Newland on 27 April 1845. She was either divorced or widowed within 5 years of her marriage. She had no children and lived with relatives. In 1850 she lived with her mother, Frances. In 1880 she was living with her brother Landon, and she died in the home of William and Frances Ray. Frances was Landon's daughter. Where she was living between 1850 and 1880 remains undiscovered.
*New information* I found a second marriage for Diana Newland to Joseph H Gray 21 June 1870, Hancock County, Indiana. He was a widower in the August of 1870 census, so the marriage didn't work out. Or at least Diana wasn't living with Joseph in 1870. Joseph died in 1871. He had a son, Joseph H Gray Jr. who married Sarah Clark. He died in 1904. His mother's name was Mariam.

There is a George W. Newland who lived in Marion County and was married to Catherine Templeton, but I believe he is the wrong person though the age and place of birth are a good match, he was apparently married to his wife Catherine Templeton about 1823 and she lived until about 1877.

Note: Diana died using her maiden name. She was very unlucky in love it would seem.
