OREM, Utah—Funeral services for Vera Wilde Fox were Saturday, Sept. 4, 1999, at 11 a.m. at the Lakeridge LDS Chapel in Orem, Utah. Interment will be in the Coalville Cemetery.

Mrs. Fox, 87, of Orem, died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 1999, at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo, Utah, after a sudden illness.

She was born Oct. 15, 1911, in Coalville, Utah, the daughter of Joseph H. and Mary Jane Sawley Wilde. She married Ellis M. Fox in Coalville on Feb. 9, 1941. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on July 10, 1964.

Mrs. Fox attended schools in Coalville and graduated from North Summit High School with the class of 1930. She was employed as an office receptionist and aide for Dr. O.W. French in Coalville for 10 years. The family moved to Rock Springs in 1955 and resided there until her husband retired in 1969. They then moved to Green River until moving to Orem in 1975.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as Primary counselor and teacher, MIA Ward and Stake Counselor. She was a Blazer leader and Cub Scout den mother. Her pursuits included quilting, traveling, boating, hunting and fishing with her husband and family.

Survivors include her husband, Ellis of Orem; one daughter, Karen Jean (Gordon) Bretzing of Loveland, Colo.; two sons, Russell E. (Karen) Fox of Tustin, Calif., and Spencer W. Fox of Rock Springs; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two nieces, Susan (Doug) Crittenden of Taylorsville, Utah, and Linda (Rex) Lewis of Hurricane, Utah.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jestine and Sawley Wilde; three sisters, Eva Wilde, Reva Clark and Genevieve Jenkins; and two nephews, Ronald Jenkins and Sawley Wilde Jr.
