Mr. O'Neal, 90, died Aug. 17, 2008, at Mississippi State Veterans Home in Jackson.
He was a native and longtime resident of Copiah County and World War II veteran. Before retiring, he was a ship fitter for Ingalls Ship Yard in Pascagoula and later raised cattle. He loved to fish and hunt with his friends. Mr. O'Neal was a member of Unity Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Annette Hamilton O'Neal.
Survivors are his sons, Lynn O'Neal, of Clinton, Harmon O'Neal, of Philadelphia, and James O'Neal, of Wesson; his sisters, Ruby Knight and Peggy Kees, both of Brookhaven; and his two grandchildren.
