Ernst Boelling, 56,
Found Dead At Work
Ernst H. Boelling, 56, of 618 Broadway, Venice, was found dead at work at the Sinclair Refining Co. dock near Wood River at 7 a.m. today, apparently from natural causes.
The family said he had been in good health, and had been working steadily. An inquest will be held to determine cause of death.
Mr. Boelling was a lifelong resident of Venice, where he was born. He was a tankerman for the refining company, and had been employed there 25 years.
He was a member of the Venice Methodist Church.
Survivors are his wife, Naomi; one son Forest, of Los Angeles, Calif.; two brothers William and Charles Boelling, both of Venice; two sisters Mrs. Charles (Margaret) Akers of Venice and Mrs. Kate Kinder of Granite City; and three grandchildren.
The remains lie in state at a Madison funeral home, where announcements are pending. An obituary is given elsewhere in this issue.
