Mrs. Catherine Riley, who for more than half a century has made her home in and near Rippey, passed away about five o'clock yesterday morning at the family residence in that town. Death was due to heart trouble with which she has been suffering for more than a year and which has kept her bedfast for six weeks. Mrs. Riley was more than 73 years of age and the greater part of her life has been spent in the community. She and her husband moved to Rippey soon after their marriage and located on a farm where they lived until about 25 years ago. Since then they have made their home in town. Mr. Riley passed away in December, 1912 [1911.] Mrs. Riley was the mother of seven [living] children. They are: F.B. Riley of Rippey; Mrs. H.L. Gilliland of Harrington, Washington; Mrs. Myrtle McClune, of Rippey; H.C. Riley of Rippey; B.M. Riley of Rippey; L.F. Riley of Leadville, Colo., and C.R. Riley of Rippey. She was one of the most lovable old ladies of the town, a friend to all and a true homemaker. The funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at two o'clock at the Methodist church in Rippey.
