Obituary: George Widdig, 72 former resident of Scioto Co., OH passed away at 8 PM Saturday in a Dayton OH hospital following an extended illness of complications.
Mr. Widdig, was born June 4, 1869, a son of Frederick and Katherine Widdig of Millers Run. He was married to Mary Louise Egbert, who preceded him in death several years ago.
He is survived by his five children, Mrs. Clara Wolfe of Elyria Oh., Mrs Charlotte Moore of Columbus Oh., William Widdig of Dayton, Oh., Carl Elbert Widdig of Lucasville, Oh., and George Widdig of Lowry Hollow, Oh., a sister, Mrs. Emma Bice of Lucasville, Oh. and three brothers, Charles and Henry of Portsmouth, Oh. and Adam Widdig of Sciotoville, Oh. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
Mr. Widdig was a member of Franklin Ave. Methodist church of Dayton, OH. Services held at Lucasville Methodist Church, with Rev. Evan D. Jones officiating. A quartet of Misses Leona McNamer, Valley Davis, Mrs Bradley Nesbitt and Guy Bumgardner sang. Pallbearers were his nephews: Edward, Fred, Orlando, Crandall and Charles Widdig and Harold Bice. Burial will be in Lucasville Cemetery.

2nd. Obituary: Funeral services for George Widdig, 72, former Scioto Co., OH resident, who died Saturday in a Dayton Hospital, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lucasville Methodist Church with Rev. Evan D. Jones officiating. Burial will be in Lucasville cemetery.
The body arrived here today at noon and was taken to the Lucasville Funeral Home.
A quartet comprised of Misses Lona McNamer, Valley Davis, Mrs. Bradley Nesbitt and Guy Bumgardner, will sing. Pallbearers will be the following nephews: Edward, Fred, Orlando, Crandall and Charles Widdig and Harold Bice.
