Mrs. John B. Kennedy, who had lived in Abilene since, 1902, was buried Thursday in the Masonic Cemetery beside the grave of her husband.

Funeral services were said by the Rev. Willis P. Gerhart, rector of the Heavenly Rest Episcopal church at Elliott's chapel, pallbearers were H. O, Wooten, Dr. H. H. Ramsey E. M. Collier, Bill Drummond, Pan Jones and George Antilley.

Mrs. Kennedy, 83, died Tuesday night at the home of a daughter Miss Thelma Kennedy, with whom she lived. She had been injured two days before in a fall.

Another daughter, Mrs. Louise K Marks of Washington, D. C., also was here for the burial rites. Other survivors are a third daughter and four sons.-Abilene Morning News Jun 4, 1937
