Under the sixty year heading in last week's issue mention was made of the death of the widow of J. W. Alford, whose maiden name (we have since learned) was Isabella Miller. Their three sons were John, Amigrade, and Bolen, all now dead. The widow (Anna McDade) of the first named, a son, Mr. D. E. Alford and a daughter, Miss Katie Alford, reside in Haughton; Drew lives in Sibley, and the other son, Alma, in Lake Charles. Mr. Edgar Alford, son of Amigrade, lives in New Orleans. The three daughters of the elder couple were Callie (Mrs. Jim Edwards, Sr.), Ambrosia, who died while yet single, and Minnie, who married a Kennedy. The last named moved to Texas and is perhaps living to-day.
