Virginia Boothe Graham, 81, of Fairlawn, Va., passed away Monday, June 8, 2009, at her home, of congestive heart failure and diabetes.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years and 10 months, John Harrison Graham; her father and mother, Brady and Alma Yearout Boothe; one brother, Brady Boothe Jr.; and four sisters, Shirley Boothe, Thelma Smith, Edna Moles, and Estelle Shealor.

Virginia worked at Blue Ridge Manufacturing overall factory in Christiansburg from 1944 until 1958.

She and John bought their home in Fairlawn in 1949. She loved to travel to see the sites, tourist attractions, visit family and friends, and helped out family and friends. She was a former member of Little River Baptist Church (Rt. 221) and current member of Calvary Baptist Church (Rt. 221), both in Floyd.

She was a NASCAR fan and her favorite team was the Woods Brothers #21. She also liked to go to the races at Motor Mile Speedway. She was a special lady and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by two sons, David and Darrell Graham, both of Fairlawn; four sisters and their husbands, Annie Jones, of Floyd, Nancy and Leonard Bragg, of Salem, Jean and Joyce Huff, of Indian Valley, and Christine and Gary Horton, of Floyd; two brothers and their wives, James F. and Betty Boothe, of Floyd, and Joe T. and Mary Boothe, of Indian Valley; two brothers-in-law and wife, Marvin Moles Sr., of Dublin, and Elmer and Sarah Shealor, of Christiansburg; an aunt, Laura Sowers, of Pilot; special friend, Imogene Allen; and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.

The family wishes to thank cousins, Vergie Ratcliffe, Phylliss Selfe and Pat Lewis, for being Virginia's caregivers, and Carilion Hospice for all their care given. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2009, at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with the Rev. Graham Mitchell and the Rev. Randy McDaniel officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunrise Burial Park in Fairlawn. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at the funeral home. Flowers will be appreciated or donations may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church, 1400 Floyd Highway, Floyd, Va. 24091 or your favorite charity. The Graham family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford, Va.
