16 June 1962: Monroe Cassel, 80, of 406 N. Fifth St., died Friday afternoon at his home following an illness of several months. He was a member of St. Mark's United Church of Christ and belonged to the Royal Men's Club. He leaves three daughters: Mabel, wife of Carl Fasolt, Philadelphia; Olive, wife of Jay Smith, Quentin; and Mary Jane, wife of Clair Snell, Lebanon; as well as six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother, William Cassel, Decatur, Ill., and a number of nieces and nephews. [Lebanon Daily News]
