Born about 1620 (aged 12 or 213 in 1635; deposed 16 Jun 1663 "aged 45 or thereabouts;" in his 85th year at his death on 1 Feb 1700[/1]). Planter who came to Massachusetts Bay in 1635 & 1st settled in Charlestown MA. Later moved to Malden, then Quinsigamond (Worcester) in 1675, Malden again in 1676, & Branford by 1700. Died at Branford, 1 feb 1700[/1] "in the 85 year of his age."
Married (1) by 1653, Rachel Bachelor, daughter of WILLIAM BACHELOR. She died at Malden on 7 Nov 1674. (Two death dates for Rachel, wife of Philip Atwood, were sent in by the town of Malden for recording by Middlesex County, 5 Feb 1673[/4] & 7 Nov 1674. Philip's wife Rachel was clearly alive on 24 Oct 1674, when she acknowledged her joint deed with her husband of 1 Ocdt 1674, so only the latter of these latter of these two dates can be correct. The earlied daath date may pertain to their daughter Rachel.)
(2) Malden, 7 Aug 1675, Elizabeth Glover; she died at Malden on ____ Oct 1676.
(3) Elizabeth ____; she died at Malden on 3 Apr 1688.
