MRS. MARY ABEL, 77, FIRST 1936 DEATH IN CITY OF WATERVLIET
Feb. 19 (Special).
Mrs. Mary Abel, 77. Watervliet pioneer and lifelong resident, was stricken with apoplexy and died at 7 o'clock this morning, at her home on Elm street. Her death was the first in Watervliet this year. Mrs. Abel, widow of the late Jerome Abel, was born in Watervliet on October 19, 1858, the daughter of William and Caroline Kelly, early settlers here.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Partridge Fuheral Home. The Rev. Karl Keefer, Methodist pastor, will officiate. The, body will remain at the home from Thursday noon until Friday noon, when it will be taken to the mortuary. Burial will be in Watervliet Cemetery.
