Mr. Solomon Morris, 49, entered into rest at 12:35 p.m., Tuesday, November 15, 1930, at the residence, 18 miles from Augusta on the Hoods Chapel road after an illness of one week. Funeral services will be held at the St. Luke Methodist church Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock, Rev. G. F. Tyner officiating and the remains will be interred in the West View cemetery. Members of the Junior Order, United American Mechanics Council No. 29 of which the deceased was a member will attend the funeral in a body and will administer the ritual at the graveside. Pallbearers will be O.C. Medlock, Bernard Scharnitsky, J.R. Reese, E.J. Pennington, J.W. Alford and F.W. Kelly. Mr. Morris is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lena Bosdell Morris; three brothers, Elijah Morris of Richmond county, Martin Morris of Brezelia, Ga., and Needham Morris of Augusta; three sisters, Mrs. Maggie Powell, Mrs. Sara Retalic, and Mrs. Ella Chavous, all of Augusta. Elliott Sons.

He was 5'5" tall, 140 lbs., no facial hair, fair complexion with gray eyes and gray hair.
