WELCH David Alan, precious son, brother, and friend, passed from this life on Saturday, May 8, 1999 at his childhood home in MWC, OK. David was a remarkable man with a unique wit and humor, and was gifted with outstanding talents in music, dance & theater. He graduated from Choctaw High School in 1975 and attended (then) Central State University in Edmond before moving to West Hollywood, CA where he was actively involved with various charitable organizations. He was preceded in death by hisfather,Henry (Hank) Welch, and returned to MWC in 1995. He is survived by his mother, Mary Welch of Nicoma Park; brother, Daniel Welch of Choctaw; sister, Marla Welch Stapleton of Tulsa; 4 nephews & 1 niece; numerous aunts, uncles; faithful friend, Doug Birmingham & devoted dog "Christie". Graveside services will be Tuesday, May 11 at 2:00 PM at Arlington Cemetery, NE 36th & MWC Blvd. "The shadow of your smile, when you are gone -- will color all our dreams & light the dawn..."
