Mary was 1 of 9 children born to George W. & Lou Terry Christian Smith.
She and Husband Hubert R. Beaver married Sept. 4, 1959.

Mary Elizabeth Beaver , 85, passed away on Thursday (Oct. 23, 2008) at the home of her niece. Ms. Beaver was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County and a member of Christians Bend Freewill Baptist Church for many years. She loved and took care of many children.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Terry Christian Smith; two brothers, Sidney and Carter Smith; five sisters, Terry Smith, Slyvia Jeters, Birlie Ward, Robertice Brewner, and Ophia Arnold.

She is survived by a special niece, Judy Christian and husband, Jimmy of Church Hill; special sister-in-law, Dorothy Smith of Church Hill; foster sister, Betty Brown; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Phyllis Brown, Dr. Alder for all the wonderful care he gave Ms. Beaver , and the Rural Health Pharmacy.
