Renowned Little Rock Paint Contractor "Mitchell Bros."....he worked on many of LR's Landmark Buildings from the early 1880's thru to his death in 1927.

John M Mitchell, aged 60, died at his home, 1214 Summit Ave at 11 a.m. Monday. He was the senior member of the firm of Mitchell Bros, painting contractors. He is survived by a daughter, Miss Ella Belle Mitchell; a brother, Joseph P Mitchell; three sisters, Mary, Ella and Kate Mitchell, all of Little Rock; four nieces and a nephew. He was a member of the Forest Camp #5 W. O. W., and F. O. Eagles #60.

Burial in Calvary cemetery.
