Mr. Victor D. Loftiss, car foreman (standing left) receives a set of matched luggage from Mr. A.E. Wright, Assistant General Car Foreman (standing right) on November 30, 1953, the evening of the last day of 35 years of service for Mr. Loftiss with the I.C. (Illinois Central), while the employees and supervisors of the car shops, who bought the luggage, look on. Mr. John Loftiss (White shirt left) and Mr. Charles A. Loftiss (standing to the left and below Mr V. D. Loftiss) are two of his sons who are former employees of the I.C.
