ETHERIDGE - Mr. Thomas Watson Etheridge, Sr., age 76 of Carl, Ga., passed away Sept 2, 1972. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sarah Frances Newman Etheridge, children, Dr. Thomas W. Etheridge, Jr., Atlanta; Mr. William Holder Etheridge, St. Simon's Island Ga.; Mr. Alfred Garfield Etheridge, Sr., Carl Ga.; sister-in-law, Mrs. Maye N. Ginn, niece, Mrs. Ben S. Brooks, Sr., both of Atlanta; brothers, Mr. Ernest P. Etheridge, Chamblee, Ga.; Mr. Edgar M. Etheridge, Carl; Mr. James Leonard Etheridge, Winder; sister, Mrs. J.C. Tanner Sr., Atlanta; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2 o'clock Monday, Sept. 4 at the Midway United Methodist Church. Remains placed in state at 1:30. Rev. Ed Weinrich and Rev. LaVerne Mobley officiating. Interment, church cemetery. Wise Funeral Home, Winder.
