- Sunday morning, Feb. 29, 2004 Thomas Veran (T.V.) Moore, 91, peacefully left his earthly home to join his son Phil, and grandson Gary and greet his family and many friends who have preceded him.

Veran was born to Thomas Ellis and Emily Wilde Moore in Coalville, Utah on Nov. 8, 1912. He attended school in Coalville and was a member of the LDS Church. He married Ursula Mae Wright, Nov. 11, 1939 in Evanston, Wyoming. They made their home in Coalville for the next 64 years.

He began his lifetime career at eight, years old pumping gas at his fathers business Moore Motor Co. Later, he and his brother, Frank, owned and operated the service station and Chevrolet and Buick car dealership until 1992.

He worked for his father on his ranch at Castle Rock, Utah settled by his grandparents, David and Mary Rees Moore in the 1860s. In 1948, he bought a portion of that land and ranched there all his life. He raised purebred shorthorn cattle, Rambouillet sheep and numerous horses.

For more than 30 years, he furnished the livestock for the Summit County Fair Little Buckaroo Rodeo. He received the Utah Century Ranch and Farm award in 1996.

He was a member of the Coalville Lions Club for 66 years, serving as president and various other offices. He served on the board of directors of the Great Salt Lake Council Boy Scouts of America. He stayed active in BSA until his death. He received the Silver Beaver award in 1973.

He and Mae were the grand marshals of the Summit Co. Fair and Rodeo in 1997. He was a member of the Utah Cattlemen Association and the Utah Woolgrowers Association.

He is survived by his wife, Mae, Coalville; two sons: Scott (Janet) Moore; Doug (Tamara) Moore, Coalville; a daughter Margaret (Ren) Lester of Evanston Wyoming, 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son Phillip Ellis Moore; a grandson, Gary Ellis Moore; his parents; his brother, Frank; and a sister, Rhea Bagnell.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 5, 2004 at 1 p.m. in the Coalville Stake Center. A viewing will be held on Thursday, March 4, 2004
