Mrs. Virginia Myrtle Cole Dickerson, 69, of Hiwassee, died Wednesday night in the McVitty Nursing Home in Salem. Born March 21, 1912, in Pulaski County; she was the daughter of the late John Cole and Myrtle Allison Cole. She was preceded in death by her husband, Weldon Walker Dickerson. She was a retired Post Mistress for the Hiwassee Post Office. Surviving are four sons, John W, Dickerson, Draper, Robert Lee Dickerson, Roanoke, Ralph Daniel Dickerson, Roanoke, and Stephen Michael Dickerson, Dublin; three grandchildren, and three sisters, Mrs. Liz Cecil, Roanoke, Mrs. Hazel Sutphin, Martinsvllle, and' Mrs Thelma Goad, Hiwassee. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. from,the Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski with the Rev. Edgar O'Dell officiating. Interment will follow in the Cecil's Chapel Cemetery, Hiwassee. Friends may call anytime, today and the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Bower Funeral Home, Pulaski., The family will be receiving friends at the residence of John W. Dickerson, Rt. 100, Draper. Bower Funeral Home, Pulaski, is handling the.arrangements.
