Fern Elizabeth Shelley Allen, 87, passed away September 14, 2002.
What a glorious reunion she will have with her husband and wonderful family members who have passed before her.
She was born March 24, 1915 in American Fork to George Frederick ane Mary Annie Jacklin Shelley.
She married Marvin Marion Allen June 22, 1938 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
She was a loving mother and grandmother.
She loved teaching and taught in Pleasant Grove and also substituted in the Alpine School District.
She was an active member of the LDS Church, where she loved teaching Primary and Sunday School.
She also enjoyed teaching Relief Society.
She served for seventeen years in the Provo LDS Temple.
She loved singing especially in the American Fork Civic Chorus.
She was a remarkable cook and gardener.
Spending time with ther family would have to be her favorite pastime.
She was the most caring and loving person to everyone she met.
She is survived by her brother, Carl Shelley, Sandy; and her sister, Ethel Wimmer, Arizona; children: Dale (Renee) Allen, Clinton; Jay (Linda) Allen; Lee (Cheryl) Allen; Renae (Robert) Reese; all of American Fork; 16 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Marvin Lynn Allen, her parents, brother and sisters: Mada Dudley, Frank Shelley, Edna Walker, and Lucy Reynolds.
Funeral services will be Saturday, September 21, 2002 at 11 a.m. in the American Fork 23rd Ward, 680 N. 350 W.
Friends may call Friday September 20, from 6-8 p.m. at Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 E. 100 N., American Fork; and Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.
Burial is in the American Fork Cemetery.
