Hiwassee, July 2, Mrs. Rosetta Phillips Cole, wife of Frank Cole, died at her 1st home at Hiwassee June 29, 1923 after a long illness from complications. Mrs. Cole was born April 27, 1894 and is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Phillips, and two brothers and two sisters. About nine years ago, she married Frank Cole. She leaves four small children aged respectively: Eula, 8 years, Lillie, 6 years; Annie 4 years and Franklin, 13 months; deprived of a mother's tender love and care at this age makes her death particularly sad. She was of a Baptist belief, and felt resigned to die after a number of years of bad health death was a welcome relief from her intense sufferings. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. C. I. Hurst at Cecil's Chapel Church on Saturday at 2:30 with interment in the cemetery nearby. The sympathy of the entire community is extended to the bereaved family in their sorrow.
