Doris M. (Rindt) Malueg Bork, age 78, of E5714 Bork Rd., Marion, Township of Dupont, Waupaca County, passed away Thursday morning, October 7, 2004 at the Theda Clark Medical Center, Neenah. Doris was born on August 12, 1926 in the Township of Larrabee, Waupaca County, the daughter of the late Charles and Louise (Krueger) Rindt who were dairy farmers. On March 18, 1944, Doris was united in marriage to Eldor Malueg in Clintonville. The couple farmed in the Township of Grant, Shawano County until Eldor's unexpected death on November 10, 1975. On September 11, 1982, Doris was united in marriage to Lester Bork at the Zion Lutheran Church, Caroline.
Doris enjoyed traveling and made several trips to Europe, Hawaii, Alaska besides several other states. She enjoyed nature and wildlife, especially cardinals. She enjoyed family gatherings, especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an avid and excellent card player and will be missed at the Friday night buffet at Hidden Valley Supper Club, Caroline. Doris was noted for her excellent cooking ability and worked for the Marion School District as a cook. She had been involved in the Ladies Aide Society of Zion Lutheran Church, Caroline. Currently, she was an active member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Township of Dupont where she held several offices in the Ladies Aide. She also was an officer and active volunteer in the AAL Branch #4149, now Thrivent.
Survivors include: Her Husband: Lester; two Daughters: Judith (Roger) Knapp, New London; Barbara (Terry Walker) Moericke, Lodi, WI; two Sons: Randy (Terri) Malueg, Marshfield; Ron (Mary) Malueg, Shawano; two Stepdaughters: Mary (Dan) Tews, Marion; Lois (Ken) Reitz, Green Bay; one Stepson: Jim (Michelle) Bork, Appleton; ten Grandchildren: Michele (Keith) Knapp-Pingel, Michael (Julie) Knapp, Matt (Shana) Moericke, Lisa (Ted) Sharon, Amy (Dan) Thorstenson, Jason Moericke, Robin (Jason) Shupe, Adam Moericke, Andy Malueg, Jenna Malueg; seven Great-Grandchildren, four Step-Grandchildren: Brian (Rose) Bork, Deanna (Clint) Overby, Marcus (Fiance: Jennifer DeBanche) Reitz, Amanda Reitz; two Step-Great-Grandchildren; Her Sister-in-law: Jeanette Rindt, Clintonville.
She was preceded in death by her Parents; her first Husband, Eldor; two Sisters and Brothers-in-law LaVern (Leonard) Glocke and Lucinda (Alvin) Schwartz; one Brother, Ervin Rindt; one Son-in-law, Jerry Moericke and one Granddaughter, Tamara Malueg.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday, October 10, 2004 at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Township of Dupont with Rev. Janice Kuder officiating and interment will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Caroline.
