Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 30, from her home and from the Mount Calvary Lutheran church. Burial was in the church cemetery. Rev. E. J. Dreyer officiated.
Martha (Mielke), daughter of the late Ernest and Willamena Mielke, was born April 23, 1884, and had reached the age of 60 years, 9 months and 3 days.
On March 20, 1898, she was confirmed in the Lutheran faith by Rev. Schilke in North Effington. On Feb. 23, 1911, she was united in marriage to Alonzo Abbott. To this union one son was born.
The deceased is survived by her husband and one son, Alvin, also one grandson, and three sisters, Mrs. Oscar Nierenberg (Hattie) of Cooperstown, N.D.; Mrs. Peltier (Ida) of Organ; Mrs. Rudolph Haske (Bertha) of North Effington, one brother, Wm. Mielke of Parkers Prairie. Pallbearers were Fred and Albert Thun, Roy Downing, Louie Henning, Louie Stienke and Ed Miller.
