Mrs. Hattie Nierenberg, 89, died in a nursing home in Jamestown April 17. The funeral was held in S. J. Quam Chapel here Monday, the Rev. Robert Schurr officiating.
The former Hattie Melke was born in Germany, August 6, 1874, and moved to Parkers Prairie, Minnesota, with her parents when she was six years old. Her marriage to Oscar Nierenberg took place there in 1900.
They moved to a farm near Cooperstown. Her husband and a son preceded her in death.
She is survived by a son, Carl of Cooperstown, a daughter, Mrs. J. N. (Laura) Seden?, Princeton, Minnesota, and six grandchildren.
