Haydena M Jinks, 79, of Rantoul, formerly of Farmer City, died at 1:20 p.m. Tuesday (March 18, 2003) at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.
She was born Aug. 29, 1923, in Faubush, Ky., a daughter of Peter and Ada Ellis Smith. She married Meldon Jinks on Sept. 10, 1939, in St. Louis County, Mo. He survives.
Also surviving are a son, Ronald Jinks of Champaign; a daughter, Peggy Fosnaugh of Quincy; a brother, Eugene Smith of Lincoln; a sister, Jean Tompkins of Winnsboro, S.C.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother.
